Me, Myself and MRI
Me, Myself and MRI is a touring portraiture exhibition of modern digital portraits consisting of medical imaging scans, photographs, video and audio.
A sci-art project funded by the
Wellcome Trust
and by
Arts Council England
,
Me, Myself and MRI
sees
Geodesic Arts
working in partnership with
Archbishop Holgate's School
,
York Neuroimaging Centre
and the
National Science Learning Centre
. The final exhibition opened at the National Science Learning Centre in early 2009 before moving to
Impressions Gallery
(Spring 2009) and then York Hospital (Summer 2009).
The project explored modern day neuroimaging techniques (in particular MRI scan technology), the history of portraiture and installation work as artforms and the historical links between science and the arts.
